**Materials available to all libraries**
The Booker Prize Foundation has launched the Golden Man Booker Prize to mark their 50th anniversary. This special one-off award will crown the best work of fiction from the last five decades of the prize, as chosen by five judges and then voted for by the public.
Each judge will choose the best winner from their particular decade, and will champion that book against the other judges’ selections.
The judges’ ‘Golden Five’ shortlist will be announced at Hay Festival on Saturday 26 May. The five books will then be put to a month-long public vote to decide the overall winner, announced at the Man Booker 50 Festival on Sunday 8 July.
We are pleased to offer free promotional materials for libraries to promote this special one-off prize. This is a great way for libraries to promote backlist titles and reinvigorate some classics. We will be encouraging readers to visit their local library to borrow previous winning books.
Please place your orders as soon as possible, as we have a limited number of packs available.
Promotional packs will contain:
- 3 x A4 posters
- 20 x Shortlist Bookmarks
- A set of shelf talkers
The deadline for ordering is midday on Thursday 17 May. Materials will be sent out after the 'Golden Five' has been announced.
Materials are free of charge and there is no charge for P&P. However, the materials are provided by the prize with the understanding that, in return, you send us pictures of the displays you make with the materials.
