Terry Pratchett Day event pack and Bestiary samplers
Join us in celebrating Terry Pratchett Day on 28 April, marking Sir Terry’s birthday and inviting readers everywhere to rediscover the joys of Discworld.
This year’s theme is Terry Pratchett’s Hat Parade! It’s a playful nod to the idea that, on the Discworld, hats are never just hats, they are statements of intent. We’re encouraging simple engagement ideas: wear a hat, make one, name one… to spark conversations about favourite Pratchett reads. It’s all designed to be light-touch, fun, and easy to bring to life.
We’re providing free resource packs including a librarian’s guide, posters, stickers, activity sheets, and a cheat sheet to help guide people to their next Discworld read.
The campaign also builds early awareness for The Discworld Bestiary (out 15 October), and we’ll be sending out physical A5 samplers with the Pratchett Day packs. This will be the first time fans can see Paul Kidby’s glorious internal artwork, and the only place they’ll be able to get a sampler is through these packs, a true Terry Pratchett Day exclusive.
