The Cosmic Atlas of Alfie Fleet
‘A brilliantly bonkers book’ – The Daily Mail
Go on an outlandish adventure this summer with The Cosmic Atlas of Alfie Fleet, written by Martin Howard and illustrated by Chris Mould, and part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge!
Alfie Fleet is off on an adventure beyond his wildest dreams. From Brains-in-Jars World to the planet of Outlandish, nowhere is too big, too small, or too bizarre to make its way into the Cosmic Atlas. But although Alfie loves to explore, he still needs to be home before his mum gets in from work, otherwise there will be BIG trouble!
With amazing illustrations by Chris Mould throughout, this book is a visual feast, complete with maps and extracts from Alfie’s notebook.
Oxford Children’s Books are providing activity packs to spark children’s imaginations this summer, including the chance for them to design their own outlandish planet using our fun activity sheet.
Oxford Children’s Books are offering 150 free packs for libraries including:
- 2 x The Cosmic Atlas of Alfie Fleet posters
- 10 x The Cosmic Atlas of Alfie Fleet postcards
- 20 x Activity sheets for children to design their own outlandish planet
- Online content including videos and animated book cover
You can order these brilliant packs until 10 May (but they may sell out before this date).
Orders for one activity pack per library only.
Please note, if you order a Suitcase pack you are agreeing to use the materials within your library and to send photos of groups (these do not need to include children's faces) tagging @oupchildrens and @readingagency. Please also send feedback to Kimberley Sheehan by 23 August. Please do not order the pack if you cannot commit to this.

Please make sure that you include the school or library name in your address so that we know where the packs will be used.
